Minutes from Annual Meeting May 10, 2025

The college was opened in due form at 3:20 by Grand Governor Frederick Erickson.
 
The first activity was to welcome new members with the Knight of York initiation ritual:

The special lecture was given by Knight-Companion Joseph Charboneau
Grand Commander of Nebraska Grand Commandery
Governor Erickson began the business meeting by making introductions:
  • Bryce Hildreth as General Grand Governor for the York Rite Sovereign College of North America.
  • Rick Bowersox as Grand Governor for Iowa York Rite Colleges
  • David Dryer as a Regent for the York Rite Sovereign College of North America and as North Central Department Commander for the Grand Encampment Knights Templar USA.
  • Rick McCampbell as the Grand Organist for the York Rite Sovereign College of North America and Grand Organist for General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons International.
  • Monte Harris as Grand Master of the Grand Council, and as a 2024 Purple Cross winner
  • Jason Wolcott as Deputy Grand Governor for Iowa York Rite Colleges
  • (Secretary's addendum: Governor Fred Erickson was also awarded the Purple Cross)
The Minutes from the 2024 May meeting were approved along with Secretary McCampbell's request for expense reimbursement.
 
The treasurer's report was given by Bill Paisley, and approved by the college.
Secretary McCampbell read the names of the proposed officers to be elected, and that slate was approved by acclamation.

Ryan Reid moved to give $200.00 to the Scottish Rite for use of the building, and also to give the usual donations to the charities. It passed. ($100 each to RARA, CMMRF, KTEF, and YRSC Charity Fund and $50.00 each to DeMolay and Rainbow--per 2024 minutes)
 
Secretary McCampbell gave brief information about Spencer Award points
 
Grand Governor Bowersox introduced the General Grand Governor of the Sovereign College, our own Bryce Hildreth. GGG Hildreth spoke about the upcoming Sovereign College meeting in Raleigh, North Carolina, and about the 2026 meeting, which is in the early planning stages.
The meeting was closed in form by Governor Erickson at 5:30
The officers were installed, and Governor Ahrens dismissed the college at 5:45.
