Minutes from Fall Meeting December 10th, 2022

The college was opened in due form at 10:00 a.m. by Grand Governor Wade Sheeler.

The first activity was to welcome two new members with the Knight of York initiation ritual:

Grand Governor Sheeler introduced distinguished knight companions

  • Osumanna Cassell, Sovereign Grand Inspector General for Orient of Iowa, Prince Hall Affiliation.
  • Dan Hobson, Most Illustrious Grand Master of Iowa Royal and Select Masters.
  • Jerry Wahl, Right Eminent Grand Commander of the Knights Templar of Iowa
  • David Dryer, Regent of the York Rite Sovereign College of the United States, plus several other important titles.
  • Tim Whipple, Master of Kadosh for the Des Moines Valley of the Southern Jurisdiction of Scottish Rite
  • Jason Wolcott, Deputy Grand Governor for Iowa York Rite Colleges
  • Aaron Shoemaker, Venerable Sovereign Grand Master of the Allied Masonic Degrees, USA

The printed minutes from May and the Treasurer's report from Treasurer Paisley were approved.

Knight John Klaus moved to give donations as we did the previous year. It passed.

  • $100 each to RARA, CMMRF, KTEF, and YRSC Charity Fund
  • $50.00 each to DeMolay and Rainbow

Andy Oxley was presented with the Distinguished Service Award

GG Sheeler called for volunteers to place wreaths on veterans graves. The one near Des Moins is near Van Meter, and will begin at 11:00 December 17th.

Knight Shane Harshbarger announced that we are planning to hold a Super Excellent Master Degree February 18th.

The next meeting is set for 10:00 May 6th with an associate regents meeting at 9:30

Secretary McCampbell moved to give the Scottish Rite $150.00 for use of the building. It passed.
