The meeting was called open 3:50 p.m. by Governor Brian Truex in the Scottish Rite Classroom in Des Moines.

27 members were present plus several knights from other jurisdictions.

After asking for member proposals, Brian turned it over to Grand Governor Sheeler who spoke on several topics:

• Wednesday, September 1st we are invited to Burlington to initiate new knights.
• The York Rite Sovereign College met virtually the previous week
• Paul Anderson and Donald Mosier were awarded the Order of the Purple Cross
• Kevin Smith, Matthew Risberg, and Arthur Crandon were approved for OPC next year from #37
• Kyle Peterson was approved for OPC next year from #199
• Gary Shalus was elected to receive the Service Award
• Both Colleges in Iowa were Honors Award Colleges
• Charles Yates' wife, Donna received the Diamond Award
• Ron Glass' wife, Joyce also received the Diamond Award (Tekhama, NE)
• Iowa #37 received a plaque from the Crypic Masons Medical Research Foundation
• The fall meeting will be the held December 4th
• Iowa #37 continues to be the largest college

The meeting was declared closed by Governor Truex at 4:10 p.m.
